Stop one: the quiet overlook
Skip the busiest pullout. A smaller turnout a few miles later trades the postcard angle for more sky and enough silence to hear the engine tick cool.
Stop two: lunch with a counter seat
Order what the person next to you ordered. Refill the coffee. Ask whether the weather is turning. Small-town timing is part of the route.
